  • People come to breathwork for a variety of reasons.
Anxiety, numbness, a sense of always being in a Fight/Flight mode etc.

Something we hear a lot comes from people who have done talking therapy and mention that they now do understand where many of their experienced difficulties come from but they don’t feel any different yet.

This is where an embodied approach to therapy can be an outcome.

The modality that the Breathlife Collective mostly works with is called Conscious Connected Breathing (CCB), sometimes combined with gentle somatic practices and touch.

In addition we’ll work with the mechanics of your breath and make sure that you are resourced enough to engage with this practice. establishing a sense of safety in the body first.

    Breathwork can help with:
    - Reducing Stress and Anxiety
    - Improving Emotional Regulation
    - Enhancing Focus and Mental Clarity
    - Improving Sleep Quality
    - Trauma and emotional processing

Do always make sure to check the contraindications before engaging in any type of breathwork.
    Read the contraindications: here

  • The session begins with a brief conversation to clarify what’s present for you and what you'd like to work on. The practitioner will explain the process, what may unfold during the session, and ensure you’re fully informed to give your consent. Your voice and choices are always respected throughout.

The practice typically takes place in a lying-down position, with a blanket provided to keep you warm. The practitioner will guide you through the specific breathwork technique, and may offer gentle, hands-on adjustments if you're comfortable with that. Throughout the session, we’ll work with whatever arises—whether sensations, feelings, or emotions—and all are welcomed. Most practitioners incorporate music to help guide the rhythm of your breath.

The breathwork part usually lasts between 45 to 60 minutes. Afterward, there will be time for integration to allow the experience to settle. This can be done in silence or through conversation.

Overall, sessions typically last around 90 minutes, depending on the practitioner.

  • This is impossible to answer before having met you.

It’s important to understand that breathwork isn’t magic and that it is a practice.
Just like with talking therapy, there is a certain level of commitment required and the relationship with the therapist plays a huge role in the effectiveness of the sessions.

In general we would recommend starting wit 3-5 sessions with ongoing reviews to get an understanding what breathwork might be able to do for you.

  • The Breathlife Collective is a small group of practitioners who all want to make breathwork more available in London in a responsible and safe way.

All practitioners have had at least 400hrs of in depth breathwork training and are fully qualified and insured.

Techniques, prices and length of the sessions may vary.

All have agreed to adhere to the following:
    - Before working together there will be an intake to make sure breathwork is indeed right and safe for the client.
    - The client always has always given full consent and is fully in control.
    - Sessions are always grounded in safety and are non-catharsis focused.
    - They all work under their own name and institute, in no way, shape, or form can Breathlife Ltd. be held accountable for what happens between a client and a Breathlife Collective practitioner.

In addition, the Breathlife Collective also runs group sessions.
